Brendon Lead for Local Government Reorganisation, PPMA and
Head of Human Resources at Shropshire County Council

Brendon Hills is the PPMA lead officer on Local Government Reorganisation. He has worked closely with the LGE Advisory Group on Local Government Reorganisation in deepening the understanding of people issues associated with the current round of local government reorganisation. PPMA aims to raise the profile of people management in the public sector and to lead the development of and commitment to best people management practice.

Brendon Hills is the head of Human Resources and Development for Shropshire County Council and as a member of the Joint Implementation Team for the new unitary council soon to be formed across Shropshire, he is at the sharp end of local government reorganisation.

Previously the head of HR Policy & Strategy for Capita Human Resources, Brendon Hills was responsible for the provision of strategic advice and policy consultancy to Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and other clients.

An active contributor to the people agenda across local government, Brendon Hills is a member of the IDEA National HR Forum, which promotes the development of national HR capacity, and the LGE Sounding Board that support the development of national people policy initiatives to improve people management in local government.
