John Molony

John Molony is a recognised leader in international higher education with two decades in the field. Prior to joining QS in 2010, he led strategy and operations as the head of international at two major Australian universities, whose programmes were among the largest and most culturally diverse in the world.

He has extensive experience and networks across the higher education sector in Asia, North and South America, Europe, and the Middle East. John regularly presents on a broad range of internationalisation topics at leading higher education events including NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the European Association of International Education (EAIE), the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA), and the QS Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education (APPLE) conference. In 2010 he convened the 4th QS University Rankings and Evaluation Symposium in Singapore, and oversaw the QS World University Rankings® Academic Survey which produced over 13,000 responses. John has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and has completed the International Executive Programme at INSEAD.
