Ged McNally

Ged is the Education Inclusion Consultant for Learning and Schools within Blackpool Local Authority, with responsibility for a range of support to schools aimed at reducing exclusions and raising capacity to support pupils with challenging behaviour. This includes delivering a range of continued professional development (CPD) training for teaching and non-teaching staff.

Ged has over 16 years experience within education and children services and has held senior roles within various local authorities throughout the North West. He qualified as a Community Youth Worker in the early 90’s before going into education support services and rising to become the Principal Education Welfare Officer and leading a range of multi-disciplinary support services before moving to Blackpool.

Ged is particularly interested in developing support that enables people managing and finding their own solution to issues, and repairing the harm that can sometimes occur. He has recently become a certified trainer for Restorative Practice through the International Institute for Restorative Practice (IIRP).
