Luann Donald is a Principal Employment Relations Adviser at Local Government Employers, providing expert guidance on key employment law and HR policy developments for local government, and represents the views of local authorities in response to government consultations on the development of new employment legislation and policy. Luann has extensive experience in managing and advising on HR and employment law matters, having worked in the public and charity sectors in her 17-year career in HR. Before joining LGE in 2008, Luann worked for Surrey County Council as a senior adviser on employment law and policy development and implementation. At LGE Luann works closely with local authorities, regional employers' organisations, national negotiating forums and government departments to interpret and advise on UK and EU legislative developments in employment law and employee relations issues, and is the lead national adviser on age and retirement issues.
