During 14 years experience in the Health and Social Care field, Nicola has worked predominantly with children and young people. She has gained a wide ranging knowledge of the sector through her work in residential children’s homes, residential special school and fostering services.
Nicola has been involved in training since 2003 and has delivered NVQ’s, BTEC, Apprenticeships and bespoke courses. For the past four years she has specialised in working with foster carers to achieve NVQ’s, gain knowledge and meet the requirements of the CWDC Standards.

Nicola is the manager of Skills4Learning, a training company that has developed creative solutions for foster carers. Skills4Learning have consulted with foster carers to ensure that the courses provided meet their needs and as a former foster carer herself, she has an in-depth understanding of the difficulties in accessing relevant training.
