Wendy Stubbs is an Assistant Director at QAA in the Development and Enhancement Group. She has responsibility for all aspects of employer engagement and workforce development which includes working with HEFCE/HEFCW, UUK, FdF, the HEA and Sector Skills Councils. She is very involved in the quality assurance of work-based learning and workforce development. She was responsible for leading the advisory group on the revision to section 9 of the Code of Practice: Work-based and Placement learning. In 2008 she was a member of the joint HEFCE/QAA task group on the quality assurance of employer engagement provision. She has conducted a survey of institutions about the quality assurance of Employer- responsive provision which was the basis of the 2009 QAA Annual Liaison Officer conference and a QAA publication: Employer – responsive provision. A reflective report which was published in February 2010.
