Reem has a background in Health Science and general nursing. She is currently studying midwifery and has worked as an assistant midwife for 3 yrs.
Reem was a speaker at the N.S.W state midwives conference in 2008 where she was the only student speaker and youngest speaker. She also made a documentary on the "Truth and understanding about women in Islam" which was shown at this conference. In this documentary Muslim women, Midwives and others voiced their views and opinions about women in Islam.
Reem is very passionate about helping less fortunate women and babies in Africa and Middle East. In January 2010 she spent time in Kenya doing charity. She plans to establish a Woman’s Health Clinic in a remote area of Kenya that will help provide Maternal and Neonatal services to the community.
