Suzanne Truttero
Suzanne Truttero, Midwifery Advisor, Department of Health
Suzanne is Midwifery Advisor at the Department of Health. She is a visiting Professor in Midwifery & Women's Health at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing & Midwifery at King's College London. She is a Council member of the Royal College of Midwives & has received awards from the Royal Institute of Public Administration for Managerial Innovation & from Oxford University for her work in relation to Equity of Care for Socially Excluded Women. She co-chaired the working group that published National Standards for Maternity Care and has a particular interest in the safety & regulation of maternity services. Last year she received a British Journal of Midwifery Award for her work as an LSA Midwifery Officer for outstanding leadership skills & the ability to nurture potential leaders while also maintaining high service standards.
