Dr Margaret McGuire is Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for Scotland. Dr McGuire deputises for CNO across the breadth of CNO’s portfolio. Additionally she is professional advisor within the Scottish Government Health Directorates with responsibility for Women and Children and has established strong links with the Child and Maternal Health Division. Her portfolio includes midwifery and maternity services, research and development and international health issues. Currently, she is on secondment to NHS Tayside two days per week as acting Executive Director.
