Katrina Catterall

Katrina Catterall, The Royal College of Midwives’ Student Midwives’ Working Group member (SMWG)

Katrina Catterrall is 34 years of age. She is a wife and mother of three children Evan aged 11, Celyn–Cariad age 7 and Lowri-Helena age 3. Katrina has recently qualified as a Midwife and is working in The Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Wales. Therefore this will be her last year as a member on the student working group.

Her interests are ice skating and at present she is a part time coach at the Bristol Ice Skating rink. Her passion is midwifery and she has a particular interest in fatherhood; and what their role is, and midwifery in third world country's, she will be going to Mbale in Uganda with four other midwives at the end of November as a volunteer. Katrina also has a great interest in promoting the normality of labour where possible. She has thoroughly enjoyed being a Welsh representative for the Student Midwives Working Group; it has given her a great opportunity to interact with other students and midwives across Britain.
