Housing Finance Reform: Seizing the Moment
17 Feb 2011
A Local Government Association event. Held at Government House, Smith Square, London, SW1

This conference provided an invaluable opportunity to consider the challenges ahead and how to prepare for self financing. This included consideration of the long term viability of your business plan, the importance of long term asset management programmes, and the effective transition from the subsidy system to self financing.

As part of helping you prepare for this new challenge the LGA prepared this conference to:

  • Consider the implications of self financing on the sustainability of council housing services
  • Provide an insight into the details behind the clauses in the Localism Bill
  • Provide the chance to hear the latest from the leading experts on housing finance.
  • Give delegates a chance to get a head start on what the implications for self financing will mean for your council. It is an essential conference for any council as they prepare to leave the subsidy system behind.
