Speaker Biography

Dr Lisa Bayliss-Pratt

Dr Bayliss-Pratt was previously Assistant Director of Nursing at Midlands and East Strategic Health Authority where she led on patient experience, nurse improvement methodology and played a key role in Appreciative Enquiries and Aspirant Foundation Reviews. Prior to this, she was held an Education Lead role that was multi professional and region wide.

In her early career, Lisa worked in a vareity of nursing roles across the public and private sector specialising in emergency care and surgery. Since then she has taken up a range of national roles including operational lead for preceptorship at the Department of Health.

Lisa completed a Doctorate of Clinical Practice at the University of Southampton. She has held education and managerial roles within Higher Education across the UK and is currently an Honorary Fellow and PhD supervisor at the University of Wolverhampton.

Lisa is passionate about patient experience, education in practice, research and innovation and nurse improvement programmes. Lisa was instrumental in the roll out of Flying Start England, the national development programme for all newly qualified nurses, midwives and allied health professionals in NHS England.
