Creative industries are critical when it comes to innovation and giving ideas an edge in a time of austerity.
The sector is bursting with creatives who thrive on innovation and originality but how will they find direction and investment? “Creative Hubs” are being developed across the country to support artists and innovators to invigorate the economic recovery. It is imperative that creative leaders embrace the latest technology and entrepreneurial skills to empower them in to the future.
As a new culture of learning emerges, we look at effective ways to embrace internetisation and globalisation. This nationwide broadcast brings together leaders across the sector to lay out how best to support the industry and to push design in to areas it has not traditionally been associated with.
Co-creativity and knowledge-sharing can drive the sector forward in this time of constant change. With the release of the European Commission’s paper on the European Design Innovation Initiative we will highlight the benefits of looking to Europe to exploit the full potential of design for innovation.
