In response to the historic, unprecedented and ongoing transformation taking place in Egypt, the Conservative Arab Network and Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce organised a prominent Panel Discussion on the ‘18 Days that Changed Egypt; Opportunities for Trade & Investment.’
The Panel of Experts was led by the Rt Hon Lord Howell of Guildford, Minister of State at the FCO. The Panel was further composed of experts on Egypt’s business and trade environment. These panelists provided valuable insight regarding strategic political and economic relations between Egypt and the UK, the impact of Egypt’s regime change and the country’s future economic potential. They also shared with the audience their views on future business, trade and investment opportunities for the UK in this new Egypt.
SPECIAL GUEST for the afternoon was Sarah Abdel Rahman, a young political activist, freelance journalist and student at the American University in Cairo. She stood at the forefront of the demonstrations in Tahrir Square from day one, 25 January 2011.
