Josie Hinton

Josie Hinton works for Mind in Harrow as a Senior Worker and Project Manager. She has worked at Mind in Harrow since 2009 with the focus of her work being on meeting the mental health needs of migrant and refugee communities. Recently she has led a piece of work commissioned by National Mind which used recently published guidance to improve the commissioning of mental health services for vulnerable migrant communities in Harrow.

As well as working at Mind in Harrow, Josie is doing an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management at CASS Business School and is on the Board of Trustees for a small voluntary sector organisation in Westminster.

Prior to working at Mind in Harrow, Josie qualified as a Social Worker in 2009 and then as a Practice Educator in 2014. In 2006, Josie completed her undergraduate BSc in Psychology at the University of Durham. She has also done postgraduate study in Research Methods for Social Science and Health at Kings College, London University.
