Charlie Stripp

 Charlie Stripp
Charlie Stripp is a passionate advocate of mathematics education. He taught mathematics in the state sector for 10 years, both in school and in an FE college. In 2000 he joined MEI to set up and lead the project that eventually became the national Further Mathematics Support Programme, a highly successful government-funded programme that is still managed by MEI.

He has also taught trainee teachers and delivered numerous professional development courses for secondary and sixth form mathematics teachers. He has been a regular presenter at national mathematics education conferences for the past 15 years.

Through his work with MEI, Charlie has developed extensive experience in curriculum development and assessment in mathematics at secondary level. He has been an active member of the Mathematical Association for over 20 years and currently serves on the MA’s Council. Charlie became MEI’s Chief Executive in 2010. From March 2013 he became Director of the NCETM, whilst continuing as MEI’s Chief Executive.
