Helen Mathie

Helen is Head of Policy and Homeless Link. She manages their national and local influencing work, advising government across a range of policy areas. Helen has led a number of evidence based projects to improve policy, including on health commissioning, welfare reform and migration. She sits on advisory groups for several national research projects within the academic, voluntary and statutory sectors, including the ‘Fulfilling Lives’ Evaluation (Big Lottery).

After starting her career in community development, Helen worked at the homelessness charity Broadway prior to joining Homeless Link in 2009. In 2013 she was seconded to the DH’s Health Inequalities unit to lead a review of commissioning for vulnerable and excluded groups. She has a M.Sc. in Voluntary Action Management.
