 Duncan Shrubsole
Duncan is the Director of Policy and External Affairs for Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people. As such he is responsible for Crisis’ policy, research, campaigning and communications functions and best practice work: including the national funding and advisory programme to expand the provision of services helping homeless people find and sustain accommodation in the private rented sector and the Welfare Network providing advice and lobbying around welfare to work services.

Duncan first got involved with Crisis as a volunteer, joining the staff team in August 2005. Previously he was a civil servant in what is now DCLG and in the Department of Transport, latterly as private secretary to the Secretary of State Alistair Darling. Duncan is a Trustee of East End Citizens Advice Bureau and a Board Member of Old Ford Housing Association.
