Dr Kim Manley

Kim has an international reputation for the development of effective workplace cultures in healthcare linked to the provision of quality services. Such cultures put the patient at the centre of care, are clinically effective, continually modernising and realise shared governance principles.

Her expertise lies in helping healthcare organisations and clinical teams to develop, implement and evaluate practice development strategies and work-based learning initiatives that are sustainable in the workplace.Kim has recently led the development of the RCN’s Quality, Standards and Innovation Unit and in partnership with the Department of Health, Nursing Midwifery Council and patients and service user organisations and has led the development of Principles of Nursing Practice.

In 2000, Kim was awarded the CBE for quality patient services.
