Graham Gibbens

Graham is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators. Graham is the Kent County Council Member for Canterbury City North East and was elected to the County Council in 2001.

He is the Cabinet Member for Kent Adult Social Care and Public Health.

He was previously a parish councilor for Buxted Parish Council in East Sussex. He has also been the Cabinet Member for Public Health and Regeneration and previously Chairman of the Highways Advisory Board and Lead Member for Environment and Transport.

His professional career was within international banking during which he was employed by Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, with a last appointment in Karachi, Pakistan as Head of Change Management and Development for the Middle East and South Asia.

Graham has also worked as an Independent Consultant working for a range of Governmental and Non Governmental organisations including DFID, EU and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe in a number of countries including Russia, China, Lao, Armenia, Bosnia Herzogovenia and Swaziland.
