Andrew Green

Andrew Green has worked in local government and the academic sector for more than 32 years, including 11 years as a Head of Service.

In his previous post in Coventry, he led the library service from a 'poor service with no prospects' to a 'fair service with excellent prospects' in three years.

He is currently leading a management bid in a competitive tender for Croydon and Wandsworth library services.

As well as carrying out his management roles he has also been actively involved in the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals as Chair of the Community Services Group and on the Public Libraries Committee. He currently represents the Society of Chief Librarians on the INSPIRE (managed access to resources across different library sectors) Management Board as Co Director, with the Librarian of Birkbeck College.
