Dr Narendra Jadhav
Dr Narendra Jadhav is a leading educationist, eminent economist and policy maker, social scientist and best-selling author.
Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh called Dr Jadhav, a 'role-model for the disempowered millions in our country.'
Dr Narendra Jadhav is currently serving as a Member, Planning Commission (in the rank and status of Union Minister of State). Planning Commission is India’s apex policy-oriented Think Tank chaired by the Prime Minister.
As Vice-Chancellor, University of Pune, Dr Jadhav transformed it to a Model State University in India. As an Economist, he worked with Reserve Bank of India, International Monetary Fund, Government of Afghanistan and Government of Ethiopia.
He is a prolific writer with 11 books and more than 100 research papers to his credit. He has been a recipient of as many as 25 national and international awards for his contribution to the fields of economics, education, literature, culture and social work.
