Nuala O'Rourke

Nuala O’Rourke is a Programme Manager at Wigan Council working on Public Sector reform through such initiatives as Community Budgets and the Capital and Asset Pathfinder. She has recently taken the lead for the Complex Family workstreams.

She was the Project Manager for the Manchester City Region Total Place pilot. The Manchester City Region pilot involved the ten Greater Manchester local Authorities – Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Salford and Wigan plus Warrington. The Manchester City Region’s theme of Early Years is also one of the strands of the Manchester Statutory City Region pilot.

Previously, Nuala had a successful career in the private sector with over 20 years of experience in the media with the last five years of this time being spend at a Publisher running a highly successful newspaper group based in the North West.
