Stephen King, St Nicholas School Kent

Stephen King is Deputy Headteacher (Secondary) at St. Nicholas School Canterbury. He is also Transition Manager to co-ordinate the Person-Centred Plans and Pathways for students from Years 9 - 14. He was chair of the Canterbury Transition Core Group, a multi-disciplinary planning forum for the City and Coastal areas. This work led to the school being part of the Kent & Medway (on behalf of the South East region) Getting A Life Project; a national transition project with sites throughout the country in key locations. Stephen was part of the Project Management Board for GAL and helped to steer the project in the South East. Stephen is also the South East Consultant for the mobility charity MOVE Europe (no. 1062307). He is an Associate Tutor for Canterbury Christchurch University, working for the Centre for Enabling Learning, part of the Department for Professional Development - leading on the induction training for teachers in Kent in specials schools for students with Profound, Severe and Complex Learning Needs.
