Jayne Garner
Managing Director, Axis Education Limited.
An experienced teacher/teacher trainer and author, Jayne Garner is a literacy expert with particular expertise in motivating disaffected and SEND learners.
Jayne is the founder and a director of Axis Education Ltd, developing and commissioning new publications and products. Axis Education publishes innovative teaching resources for Secondary and Special Needs. Axis’ award-winning titles cover English, maths, Functional Skills, PSHE, literacy, employability skills and life skills.
A prolific, award-winning author of educational resources, Jayne commissioned and co-wrote Functional Skillbuilders – maths and English resources renowned as examples of good practice in their field.
Over the past two years Jayne has been working with nasen to devise a unique set of multisensory teaching resources for older learners. Axis Hands On was launched in October 2009 and the range is being added to continually.
Jayne is a tutor on Dyslexia Action’s Postgraduate Certificate course teaching teachers how to teach learners with Specific Learning Difficulties. She is also a Chief Examiner for Functional Skills English.
