Alison Cooke

Alison Cooke, Research Midwife, The University of Manchester and Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust

Alison is currently based at Central Manchester Foundation Trust working as a Research Midwife with Professor of Midwifery Tina Lavender. She has also an honorary contract with The University of Manchester. She is a member of the Midwifery Research Group at The University of Manchester and is based at St Mary’s Hospital on the Research Floor. She also works clinically as a Midwife at East Cheshire NHS Trust where she is the Parent Education Facilitator, being the point of contact for all women who require antenatal education, including young parents-to-be. In September 2010, Alison completed a NIHR funded Masters of Clinical Research programme at The University of Manchester, full time over one year. Her research work is on the subject of advanced maternal age and baby skincare. She has published two papers to date, and have a third manuscript in preparation.
