Domestic Violence Research and Policy Forum #dvf12
25 Jun 2012
Westminster Studio, 10 Greycoat Place, London SW1P 1SB
Taking Action - The New Chapter updates the previous Call to End Violence to Women and Girls action plan published in March 2011. It contains 100 actions to tackle violence against women in the areas of prevention; provision of services and partnership working, as well as justice outcomes and reducing the risk to victims. During this conference feedback and experience will be on the consultation topics of: whether the current cross-government definition of domestic violence is working and should remain; whether 'coercive control' should be reflected in the definition; whether the definition of domestic violence should include younger victims below 18 years of age. The conference will support the sharing of effective multi-agency response to domestic violence. We will share successes and highlight areas that still need to be addressed.
