Carol is a psychiatric nurse by background who has an extended interest and training in some psychological therapies, and who has worked as an Admiral Nurse Clinical Lead since 2003. Prior to this she worked in dementia research at Birmingham University for 6 years, before which she worked in adult mental health services for many years both with individuals and groups. She is involved in improving & developing palliative care for people with dementia locally and more widely and has an ongoing interest in developing ways to work more effectively with families who are affected by dementia using psychological approaches. She is about to start a PhD.
