Previously Stephen was chief executive of two national care charities - Counsel and Care and Daycare Trust. He was leader and councillor in Hammersmith & Fulham and vice-chair of the primary care trust there. Now he is on the board of several national and local charities, including Victory Housing Trust, and he is co-chair of Grandparents Plus.
