Stephen Roper is Professor of Enterprise at Warwick Business School and Director of the Enterprise Research Centre (ERC). The ERC is funded jointly by ESRC, BIS, InnovateUK and the major banks through the BBA and involves researchers from Warwick, Aston, Imperial, Strathclyde and Birmingham business schools. Stephen is an economist with degrees from the University of Durham, Oxford University and LSE. His research interests include small business development and policy, innovation and regional development. His current work focuses on innovation in SMEs, legal services innovation and curricular innovation in higher education. Stephen is an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences and a Fellow of the RSA.
