Nisrine Abiad is the director of the Dubai Branch of Saint Joseph University where she is an associate professor of law. Prior to this, she has worked for the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) in London as a research fellow where she has developed and led several research projects, participated in training and published on subjects touching upon comparative law and international human rights law.

She holds a PhD and a Master in Public Law from the University of the Pantheon- Assas Paris II and a Bachelor of Law from USJ of Beirut.
