Greg Corcoran is a Chartered Patent attorney and European Patent attorney who also trained as a solicitor. He chose to work in-house, after training in private practice, to experience first-hand the nexus of IP law, technology and business in an international context.

He works at ASML based in Eindhoven in the Netherlands. ASML is the leading manufacturer of lithographic equipment for integrated circuit fabrication, providing cutting edge technology that enables their customers in making ever smaller silicon chips.

He is a member of the Steering Committee for CIPA Congress.
His professional interests include:-
- Patent portfolio management
- IP asset value identification
- Risk identification, assessment, opinion work and mitigation – Freedom to operate
- International patent prosecution, e.g in the US and Asia – including the impact of linguistics in limiting harmonisation in claim scope between jurisdictions.
