Chief Superintendent John Rush
Before joining GMP in 2007, Chief Superintendent Jon Rush spent 24 years working for Cumbria Constabulary where he became Deputy Divisional Commander for North Cumbna. His other roles included working in CID and an SIO, as well as developing strategies and policies for protecting vulnerable people in local communities.
He was the Divisional Commander at Bury for nearly 5 years until recently moving in October 2012, to undertake the lead role in tackling the Organised Crime Groups in North Manchester and Tameside who are believed to be connected with the recent events in these communities. This has included the implementation of a partnership Hub based at GMP HQ.
