Speaker Biography

Dawn Watson

Dawn completed her nurse training at the University of Leeds, 2004. Following several excellent community placements Dawn realised she wanted to pursue her career as a community staff nurse. She successfully secured a post within a community team for Selby and York PCT predominately managing patients living in a rural area of York.
After four years she secured a post for a case manger, in the North of York, managing people with long term conditions and also continuing with more study in diabetes and COPD.

Case management is where she was introduced to Telehealth and was involved in the North Yorkshire pilot and subsequent roll out of Telehealth.
She became a clinical advocate for the project and is currently on secondment working with GP practices, selecting, recruiting and managing patients in primary care.
