Sarah Benioff joined the National Apprenticeship Service in November 2011. Her role includes responsibility for quality in apprenticeships; programme development; governance and financial management, and management of the Apprenticeship Vacancy Service, the national recruitment website.

Previously, she worked in the Cabinet Office for four years, developing Big Society and voluntary and community sector government policy and programmes including the National Citizens Service and Community Organisers.

Prior to that, she was Chief Executive of the Community Development Foundation, a non-departmental public body, and worked directly with communities, managing and leading voluntary and community sector organisations.
