Jo Attwool
Jo Attwooll joined Universities UK in January 2011 as policy adviser with responsibility for international issues including immigration. A graduate of Politics and History from Manchester University, Jo has spent the last five years working predominantly on international affairs, including more than three years at the British Medical Association leading on its immigration lobbying.
Since joining UUK, Jo has worked extensively on all areas of immigration policy, both strategic and operational, including the recent consultations on Tier 4 and settlement and various Migration Advisory Committee reviews. Jo has also worked extensively on the HEGlobal initiative designed to assist the higher education sector in developing its transnational education (TNE) activities. She is a member of the UK Border Agency’s Joint Education Taskforce.
