Candia Allen
Candia has led and commissioned the Public Health knowledge and skills development of front-line staff for the past twelve years. Leading and commissioning a number of successful evidenced based behaviour change strategies amongst staff and the public, including, breastfeeding promotion, reducing infant mortality, Essence of Care for Health Promotion, Health Needs Assessment and effective communication for lifestyle behaviour change.
Candia is author of various educational programmes, resources and articles, collaborating since 2009 with the University of Leeds on systematic reviews of determinants of behaviour change and the creation of an electronically based tool for behaviour change. Currently leading the Leeds 4th Annual Health & Well-being Conference and the NHS Leeds, Making Every Contact Count strategy, working with partners across the Leeds' Health economy, Leeds City Council and 3rd sector organisation.
