Alayne Robin
Alayne has worked in public health for some years. Starting at the grass roots, in community development at Preston’s Well Women’s Centre, in the 1990’s she completed her MSc in Public Health and worked in health promotion and public health locally in North West Lancashire for a few years, getting immersed in HIV and sexual health.
Early in 2000, she moved to regional work as lead on the teenage pregnancy programme and from there extended her experience into children’s and young people health and wellbeing with the then North West Regional Office. From here she moved to Greater Manchester Strategic Health Authority, and used this opportunity to work with public health colleagues to reduce the inequalities gap experienced by many people in Greater Manchester. It was here she qualified as a public health consultant.
Following the amalgamation of the North West Strategic Health Authorities, Alayne took the opportunity to set up her own business, working freelance for DH North West, a number of PCTs, Greater Manchester Cancer Network and more recently NHS Salford to drive forward her passion to reduce inequalities.
