 Denise Burke
Denise left London Development Agency in March 2010 after six successful years as Head of Youth and Childcare and now provides consultancy to local authorities on early years and childcare issues as well as campaigning tirelessly for quality, affordable childcare for all families.

In addition, at the end of 2010 Denise and her husband Stephen set up United for All Ages, a social enterprise bringing together younger and older people to create stronger communities and a stronger Britain. They are currently working with local authorities to look at ways to sustain children’s centres through offering shared sites, as well as, housing associations and other organisations. They also use their knowledge and experience of childcare, youth, older people’s issues and intergenerational work to advise national and local organisations and influence future policymaking.

In February 2012 Denise and Stephen set up www.goodcareguide.co.uk where families can find, rate and review childcare and elder care providers. The site has had over 200,000 visitors to the site to date.
