Julia Weedon

 Julia Weedon
Head of International Development, Edinburgh’s Telford College.

Julia is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, lecturer and manager, with 35 years educational and training experience in the school, college and community sectors.

Teacher trained, Physical Education and the Arts, Julia worked in the state high school sector and was also a National Trainer. Julia’s curriculum development experience includes leading the development and validation of the first Higher National Diplomas in Dance and in Health and Fitness in Scotland.

Management posts in Guidance, Business Development, Marketing, Customer Services and has been in her current post of Head of International Development at Edinburgh’s Telford College for five years. Within the last three years has achieved six national awards for international operations most recently, the AoC Beacon Award for International Student Support.

Formerly a choreographer, performer and a founding director of a number of Scottish based dance companies, Julia also choreographed and directed hair and fashion shows throughout the UK, Europe, Canada & America.

Julia’s voluntary work includes supporting a number of Asian arts organisations and has held directorship posts in three companies.
