Andrew Rawson

 Andrew Rawson
Andrew has worked in the National Coordination team since 2002; as Deputy Director since 2006 responsible for all financial and operational planning and reporting.

Andrew has a background in the national Careers and subsequent Connexions service, most recently Careers Bradford, and Guidance Enterprises (North Yorkshire) careers companies, active regionally within the Institute of Career Guidance, has worked within further education as manager of Student Services, Careers and Counselling, and has managed adult guidance services and worked in the local IAG adult networks.

Andrew has considerable experience at the sharp end of widening participation with all age groups, as well as participating significantly in a range of initiatives such as Education-Business Compacts, Excellence in Cities, Excellence Challenge, Education Action Zones, and Aimhigher.

He is firmly committed to continuing work to widen and deepen participation in education and training, particularly higher education in all its diverse forms, and to help break down some of the barriers faced by many potential learners so that young people and adults can grasp their life chances and fully maximise their potential.
