Cllr Stephen Alambritis

Stephen Alambritis is the Leader of the Council at the London Borough of Merton and was elected to the position in May 2010 after periods as Leader of the Opposition, as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group and as a Cabinet Member. Stephen is also a Commissioner at the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and is also on the Board of the London Pension’s Fund Authority (LPFA). Stephen was formerly Research Secretary to the Association of Independent Businesses (AIB). Until very recently he was the Head of Public Affairs at the 210,000 member strong Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (FCIPR). Stephen has a BA(Govt) and an MSc (Econ) and an MA (Business Law). Stephen is a Football Association referee and enjoys real ale and is a member of CAMRA.
