Lillian Bondo
Lillian Bondo, President, Danish Association of Midwives
Lillian graduated as DE midwife in 1984 and since then has had many years of clinical midwife work in all fields of midwifery: antenatal teaching, clinics, delivery wards, home births, postnatal wards. She has worked in both large and small units.
In 1997 Lillian was elected regional spokesperson for midwives in Greater Copenhagen, and in 2001 she became President of The Danish Association of Midwives, a role which she still holds today. This national association was established in 1902.
The Danish Association of Midwives is, as the RCM, both a professional association and a trade union, and the Association works on behalf of midwives, midwife students and the society that they serve as midwives.
During her period as a president Lillian has taken a Master’s degree, Master of Public Administration, with a Master’s thesis covering strategies for professional development
